Message in a Bottle

What I love about having a blog is it's a place I can just be creative. Whenever I have all these gushing feelings, bursting thoughts, or anything I feel like letting into the world, I write it down. Whether it's about FANDOM, life, or anything else I love, I can set it free. It's like sending a message in a bottle. Chances are no one will read it, but there's the slight possibility that it might just catch someone's eye. 

The Bird Scene

Happy Monologue Monday!! Today, I've chosen a very funny 'monologue' that really doesn't have too much of a point. It's from a TV show I loved that centered around theatre and performing arts: Victorious. This monologue is just fun to use with your best southern accent, or if you're bored. I've got it down by memory, and just love to blurt it out whenever it comes to mind. So have fun!!!

The Bird Scene

It was 1934 when my husband left me, alone. Livin’ on the prairie was a dreary existence; no telephone, no radio. Only a large, majestic bird with whom I shared my feelin’s. One day when I was feelin’ low I said to him, "Oh, bird. You can fly. You can soar miles from this lonely place, yet you stay... Why?" And apparently, my question rang true, for that afternoon… my bird left. And so went my spirit.

Fandom Wars

Fandomonium Fridays

I've decided to create another themed day!!! Drum roll.... It's going to be: Fandomonium Fridays!!! Or Fandom Fridays for short. On Fandom Fridays, I'll post anything related to books, TV, movies, nerdy stuff.... whether it's props, posters, pictures, merchandise, fan art.... anything I find completely AWESOME. Because you should embrace your inner nerd :)) You can find a collection of this stuff on my Fandomonium page. There, I have stuff from before this theme day was created, and I'll post more and more on it as Fridays pass. So check it out! I'm really excited about Fandomonium Fridays, so I hope you like it!!!

Happy Trivia Tuesday!! Know any cool trivia? Well, here's a small tid-bid on something coming up... As you  may know, this upcoming Friday is particularly special... it's Friday the 13th... Dun, Dun, Dun!!! And for those of you who have a fear of that certain number, there's a name for that. You have: Triskaidekaphobia -- the fear of the number 13. With that, I hope you're looking forward to this Friday... :)

Warm Bodies Book Monologue

Happy Monologue Monday!! Today, I've chosen an old monologue I did a while ago. It's one of my favorites, written by Isaac Marion -- who beautifully writes words as a true poet in his stories, and paints a clear picture in your head about the reality of the world -- in the book, Warm Bodies.
This monologue is by Perry Kelvin, to R, after the lonely zombie learned to live again. It's a farewell telling R that this is their second chance. The world is changing, life is starting again -- so make something of it...

I'm going now. I'm sorry I could't be here for your battle; I was fighting my own. But we won, right? I can feel it. There's a shiver in our legs, a tremor like the Earth speeding up, spinning off into uncharted orbits. Scary, isn't it? But what wonderful thing didn't start out a little scary? I don't know what the next page is for you, but whatever it is for me I swear I'm not going to mess it up. I'm not going to yawn off in the middle of a sentence and hide it in a drawer. Not this time. Peel of these dusty wool blankets of apathy and antipathy and cynical desiccation. I want life in all its stupid sticky rawness.

Rock Paper Scissors Lizards Spock

ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, LIZARDS, SPOCK!!! Many of you may have heard of this awesome game featured on The Big Bang Theory... If not, it's just like the classic game, Rock, Paper, Scissors, only with two added things. Here's the rules:

Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitate lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and... as it always has, rock crushes scissors.
